این دوره با مطالعه پویایی فقر و نابرابری، با استفاده از داده‌های مقطعی مکرر برای درک چگونگی تغییر فقر در طول زمان آغاز می‌شود. ما همچنین با ساخت پنل‌های مصنوعی در مالزی، تخمین‌هایی در سطح خرد را بررسی می‌کنیم و بینش‌هایی درباره تجربیات فردی فقر به‌دست می‌آوریم.
با حرکت به سمت فقر چند بعدی، یک رویکرد الگوریتمی برای اندازه‌گیری فقر مطلق و فراتر از ارزیابی‌های سنتی مبتنی بر درآمد را معرفی می‌کنیم. شاخص چند بعدی فقر (MPI) توضیح داده خواهد شد و با استفاده از بینش‌های پایگاه داده رفاه ایران به سیاست‌گذاری مبتنی بر شواهد خواهیم پرداخت. کارگاه تعاملی R شرکت‌کنندگان را با نحوه استفاده از داده‌های سطح خرد از نظرسنجی درآمد و هزینه خانوارهای ایران (HIES) برای اندازه گیری فقر آشنا می‌کند.
در حوزه برابری فرصت‌ها، این مفهوم را تحلیل کرده و به طور عملی از طریق شاخص فرصت‌های انسانی در منطقه خاورمیانه و شمال آفریقا (MENA) به کار می‌بریم و نظریه را با تصمیم‌های سیاستی دنیای واقعی پل می‌خواهیم زد.
این دوره دید خود را برای رسیدگی به نابرابری در سراسر جهان گسترش می‌دهد. ما تفاوت‌های جهانی در درآمد، ثروت و منابع را بررسی می‌کنیم. همچنین دیدگاه‌های تاریخی در مورد نابرابری در ایران قبل از انقلاب 1979 را بررسی می‌کنیم و به نابرابری بازار کار در مصر خواهیم پرداخت. این برنامه با نگاهی تکان‌دهنده به بی‌خانمانی، ارتباط فقر و نابرابری در کلگری کانادا به پایان می‌رسد.

Justice has always been one of the concerns of humanity throughout the history in different periods of its social life. Human efforts in theoretical discussions around the concept of justice date back to Aristotle. In the field of social sciences in general, and economics in particular, the issue of social justice and equality has always been discussed in the literature of microeconomic theory and public, development, and political economics. Poverty and inequality, as one of the most key and central issues of development economics, have attracted the attention of many economists. In Iran, due to institutional and cultural issues, as well as the influence of shia Islam, justice, social and economic inequality have always been prominent concerns in people’s minds. For this reason, it is very important to study and better understand poverty on the one hand, and inequality and its impacts on the other hand in the academic environment. studying poverty and inequality is double important due to the rise of poverty and inequality in Iran in recent years.
The Winter School of Poverty and Inequality in the Faculty of Economics of Tehran University is an effort in this direction to familiarize students and researchers in the field of poverty and inequality with the most important topics in this field and new methods of measuring poverty and inequality and understanding them. The audience of the course will be graduate students in economics, social sciences, and politics, as well as researchers in the field of economics and sociology of development.
